Mochudi-based Tshephang Kwapa, who goes by the stage name, Moologa, continues to impress years after discovering his talent whilst a learner at Ramogotsi Primary School.

There, he was a member of the traditional dance group and the school choir.

He continued with this journey while at Borwa Junior Secondary School and again while studying at St Joseph College.

“When I got to St Joseph’s College, I started being a lead singer during assembly gatherings and also in the school choir. I also joined the theatre club which gave me more exposure and shaped my talent,” said Moologa.

In 2011, he scooped his first award in Classical Opera Music as a participant in the My African Dream Talent Show.

Moologa relishes participating in different events as that accords him time to explore and put his talent to test.

He said a luncheon invite to the State House by former president, Lt General Seretse Khama Ian Khama, opened doors for him since he later received a scholarship to study Sound Engineering in Cape Town.

Moologa said in 2012 he was fortunate to work with ABSA Bank, which had partnered with Stepping Stones International, a development that saw his life documented and played on Botswana Television and Youtube, in the form of an advert.

Also, he said he had a chance to work with Mophato Dance Theatre.

Other achievements, he said included leading a financial literacy project with Bank Gaborone as well as Gender Based Violence projects with Kgatleng and Kweneng districts.

Moologa said he had formed a theater group called YunDrimazTainments, which had also worked with Mophato Dance group and Battery Dance from the United States of America.

Currently, he is working on an album called, Dakadaka, with a single to be released prior to the release of the album. ends
