“A.T.I was a legend who elevated Botswana’s music scene to greater heights. His music conveyed powerful messages of advocacy, tackling challenges, and offering solutions that faced the artistic industry. He used his music to positively impact people’s lives, drawing from his personal experiences and challenges,’ said Kelebeng.
The minister noted that ATI’s legacy would inspire others to follow in his footsteps. Kelebeng acknowledged that A.T.I, like anyone else, faced personal challenges, but emphasised that young people in the music industry required proper guidance and support. He expressed hope that A.T.I’s story would serve as a lesson, encouraging responsible choices and a healthy lifestyle.
He also said A.T.I’s legacy would not fade easily from the minds of Batswana, and that he would continue to be celebrated through his music. He will be laid to rest in Lerala tomorrow. ENDS
