 Auditions for the 7th MRS Botswana edition will be held in Gaborone on April 01, 2023.

In an interview on Monday, the Founder and Director of MRS Botswana Brand, Kgalalelo Lesetedi said two sponsors had come on board and would be revealed during the auditions.

Lesetedi said the auditions were open for all married women aged between 18 and 50 as the pageant intends to support married women to unleash their other talents, particularly in pageantry.

She said although auditions will be conducted in Gaborone only due to financial constraints, they will make arrangements to reach aspiring married women from other parts of the country.

Lesetedi said the pageant's other objectives were to promote healthy marriages and strong families, advocate for the welfare of children and raise awareness about Gender Based Violence.

She said participants were also expected to participate in commemoration of International Day for Families in May, to encourage them to find ways to enhance and strengthen their family relationships.

She said there would also be a fashion show, to be used as an elimination to the top 12. She said each participant would be given a theme to present on.

She said the grand finale would be in July to give the chosen queen enough time to prepare for the MRS Universe pageant, to be held in the Philippines in October. ends
