Ministry extends ploughing season to February 14

The Ministry of Agricultural Development and Food Security has extended the ploughing period in the southern part of the country from February 1 to February 14.
A press release from the ministry says the extension is due to the late start of the rains in the southern parts of the country.
Meanwhile, farmers are encouraged to plough and plant when there is adequate moisture in the soil and to choose appropriate seed varieties which can withstand the expected weather conditions. ends
