State witness in the murder of Bokani Socks has testified that the deceased left a note that she will be travelling to Francistown on the day she was allegedly murdered.
The witness, Otsile Othusitse told Francistown High court on the third day of the trial against Atlholang Mojanki that she learnt about the note as the case was a ‘talk of the village’. Mojanki is accused of murdering Socks in 2014 and allegedly dumped her burnt body behind Donga Military Camp in Francistown, and investigators suspect that the deceased was raped before her death.

Othusitse further testified that on their way back to Tati Siding, they received a phone call from the pastor requesting them to come back to his office and upon arrival, Kefentse her urshered into the office.
She submitted that Kefentse later told her that the pastor had informed her that Mojanki confessed to have killed someone without giving out the name.
Another witness and niece to the deceased, Semakaleng Socks, when giving evidence on the deceased’s clothes, testified that she knew the deceased well as she frequently visited her during school holidays. She testified that at some point, during school vacations, the deceased bought a blue top at CB Stores, which had some details on the front and a pair of blue skinny jean.

She testified that on January 28, 2014, while at Tutume Mc Connel College, she was asked by the police to go and identify clothes at Kutlwano Police Station, the clothes the deceased wore on the day she was murdered, and were produced before court as part of evidence.  Semakaleng confirmed to court that indeed the clothes brought before court belonged to the deceased.
