A 32- year -old woman of Kgwatlheng ward in Kanye, Ms Omphile Mogojwa has withdrawn a threat to kill case against her boyfriend.
The accused, 38 years old Thembi Mmolawa was on the 8th March 2014 at or near Kgwatlheng ward in Kanye in the Southern District without lawful excuse, threatened to kill Omphile Mogojwa by uttering the following words over the cellphone “Wena ke tsile go go bolaya le go ne re seka ra kopana gope re le babedi go nne ga nke go nna monate”.
The complainant understood the meaning of the words to mean that the accused was going to kill her and that she should make sure that they do not meet, otherwise the accused will execute his intentions and kill her.
Mmolawa pleaded with the court and said he really didn’t intend to do so and didn’t mean that and therefore, asked for forgiveness because he said the words out of anger at the time.
When asked by Kanye Principal Magistrate Ms Bosele Busang why she was withdrawing the matter, the complaint told the court that the accused is the father of her two children; he is also the breadwinner in his family as he is the only one who is working and provides for the children.
She continued to say that it was the first time that the accused said so and she is very sure he can’t really do that to her, she informed the court. The complainant was therefore, remanded that if she withdrew the matter, it will no longer be reinstated. The state was represented by Sub Inspector Pogiso Toteng of Sejelo Police in Kanye. Ends
