A few fans of Brickz, a South African kwaito artiste, were left disappointed on Saturday night (March 1) after he did not perform as promised.

With the weather spoiling a perfectly organised show, the South African muso did not perform citing the low crowd that had turned up at United Café (Campus). Brickz only made an appearance at the show and did not perform, much to the annoyance of those that had come to see him on stage.

With a little less over 15 people in attendance, the show did not live up to its early hype of being a pool party as Gaborone was soaked by the heavens and the majority of people stayed away.

Tefo Hetanang, the event organiser, said the low turnout informed the decision for Brickz not to perform. Quizzed why he did not perform even though he was paid and there were people there, he said Brickz did not feel comfortable performing to a small number of people.

“We will see what to do in terms of maybe bringing him back again so that we satisfy those that came out the first time around,” he said. ENDS
