Afro-Jazz and Soul singer Kearoma Rantao will tomorrow launch her latest album, The Zambezi Soul at  Avani Gaborone Resort and Casino, while also celebrating 27 years in the music industry.

The launch takes place during a curated concert dubbed: Rhythm Through The Ages with the event designed to celebrate timeless sounds of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, while marking a milestone in Rantao’s musical journey.

Speaking about her journey behind the project, Rantao shared that the album reflects her life experiences, personal growth, and the diverse musical influences that had shaped her artistic path.

“The idea, Rhythm Through The Ages is a reflection of my journey from 1999 when I started my music career. It chronicles events that shaped my music, with highlights on how the support from my family and the people around me played an important role to reach where I am today,” she said.

The Rhythm Through the Ages concert will feature performances inspired by the golden era of music, giving audiences an opportunity to relive the memorable sounds of past decades while experiencing Rantao’s new owork.

She said preparing for the concert had been an exciting experience, with every detail  carefully planned to give the audience an unforgettable evening. Beyond the performances, guests are encouraged to embrace the theme by wearing 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s fashion inspired legacy glamour.

Rantao said she hopes the concert would appeal to people of all ages by bringing together those who grew up listening to classic music and younger audiences who are discovering the genre for the first time.

“The music from those era carries stories, emotions and memories. I want people to experience that feeling again while also introducing these sounds to a new audience,” she said.

For Rantao, the launch marks another important chapter in her career and a chance to share a project that reflects her passion for music, culture and preserving the sounds that inspire future generations. ENDS
