Lobatse Magistrate Court today granted murder accused, Oratile Motlakase bail.

The 31-year-old accused was in custody for murder of 39-year-old Pako Diphofu in Magoriapitse on June 14.

In her bail ruling, Chief Magistrate Rebecca Motsamai of Lobatse Magistrate Court, granted Motlakase bail under the condition that he availed two sureties to bind themselves with an amount of P1,000 each.

The accused was also liable to pay the same amount and that he was restrained from contacting the family nor interfering with witnesses.

The accused was also restrained from entering Magoriapitse and was obligated to attend court as and when he was required to do so.

In addition, one of his bail conditions was that he must not be suspected of any criminal offence while on bail and that he must report himself on Fridays fortnightly at Kang Police, as he had notified the court that he would reside in Kang.

He is scheduled to appear again in court on October 19.

According to a report, the accused and deceased were in a relationship and had a misunderstanding, which led to the accused claiming the life of Diphofu. ENDS
