Court remands murder suspect

Tirelo Phakela, who is accused of fatally stabbing Gaorelatlhe Gaorelatlhe, has been remanded in custody after appearing before the Molepolole Magistrate Court on Monday.
The 29-year-old unemployed resident of Mmanoko faces a single count of murder contrary to Section 202 of the Penal Code.
According to the charge sheet, Phakela allegedly murdered Gaorelatlhe on or about August 23, in Mmanoko by stabbing him in the chest with an okapi knife.
He is scheduled to return for mention on September 24, as police investigations continue. ENDS
