Payne Deeplooney grows big

House musician, Payne Deeplooney’s recent single, My final goodbye has been getting massive airplay and receiving positive reviews since it was released in January.

The musician, whose real name is Kagiso Ntshingane, was born in Mahalapye 23 years ago. He said he has been getting positive feedback about his latest release. “I released two songs before this one, but they didn’t do very well. But my fans just love My final goodbye, he said.

Payne Deeplooney joined the entertainment industry when he was just 13-years-old as a lead singer for a traditional dance troupe. He grew up listening to hip hop and RnB, and later developed an interest in music production.

He started writing poetry, plays and short stories which fed into his love for music.

In 2007 he met a producer who taught him the basics of the trade. He further honed his skills by working with the hip hop group M.B.C. Payne Deeplooney finally went into house music full force in 2011, deejaying in various gigs and releasing his first mixtape called The Looney Series.    He then joined a group called Deep Culture

Vibe, which included female DJ Laninah Benz and LeFramo. He has produced Laninah Benz single Migrate alongside a Cape Town based producer and a Zimbabwean vocalist. Payne Deeplooney said he was inspired by house music legends like Black Coffee, Ralf Gum and Ganyani, who helped him to come up with his own unique style of production.

Together with producer Nave Deep, Payne Deeplooney has now formed a music company called Commotion Entertainment, which has signed vocalists, pianist, drummers and percussionists.

He also had an EP album called Essence of the rhythm on the way. He has played in major venues around the country, sharing the stage with renowned musicians like, Naakmusiq, DJ Chrispin and Groovysouls. ENDS
