‎PRESIDENT RECEIVES FORENSIC AUDIT REPORTS IN ANTI-CORRUPTION ‎ ‎President Duma Boko has received a detailed forensic audit report conducted by Alvarez & Marsal Middle East Limited as part of Botswana’s national anti-corruption drive. ‎ ‎The Forensic Audit Services Project Ballast Report was formally handed over by the Chairman of the Project Steering Committee, Mr Moses Pelaelo. ‎ ‎Speaking after receiving the reports, President Boko said the audit was not intended to target individuals, but rather to strengthen accountability, transparency and governance in public institutions. ‎ ‎He said it would be submitted to relevant authorities for action where necessary. ‎ ‎The Dubai-based firm was engaged by government in March 2025 to investigate possible corruption, fraud, and misuse of public funds across government entities. ‎ ‎The audit, conducted by Alvarez & Marsal Middle East Limited, involved risk profiling across government ministries, departments, state-owned enterprises and oversight bodies, followed by a detailed review of 30 entities.Source : BOPA
