Police nab fuel thieves

Sehithwa police have arrested four men in connection with the theft of 1 500 litres of fuel from Alfa Drilling Services Company.
Sehithwa Police Station commander, Superintendent Zakes Masike said the diesel was stolen last Tuesday, February 18. He said the suspects opened the store room where the diesel was kept. Police managed to arrest two suspects, who are brothers, the same day.
Two more suspects were arrested in Maun the following day. One of the two was an ex-employee while the other is a resident of Maun. Superintendent Masike revealed that they recovered 400 litres of diesel and impounded the vehicle the men were driving. He said the police have embarked on a massive search for the fifth suspect while investigations continue.
Still in Sehithwa, a 31-year-old man of Kareng has been charged with common nuisance after he urinated on the floor of the police charge office. According to Superintendent Masike, the man who had a pending case of stock theft, was brought to the police premises and he urinated on the floor. Police are also looking for a suspect in the defilement of a 15-year-old Ngami Junior Secondary School student.
He said the matter was reported by the elder sister who became suspicious after a change in her younger sister’s behaviour. ENDS
