Six Mexican nationals, who pleaded guilty to entering Botswana through an ungazetted point of entry, will appear for sentencing on January 22.
The six appeared before the Extension II Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday for facts reading after pleading guilty to entering Botswana through an ungazetted point of entry.
Presenting the facts before court, Chief Magistrate Kamogelo Mmesi said the accused were guilty on account of their own plea.
In their defence, the accused told the court that their entry into Botswana was for purposes of transit, as they were making their way back to their home country.
The six accused have since been remanded in custody. ENDS
