Court remands traditional healer in custody

Zimbabwean traditional healer Stella Sibanda, who has been charged alongside three others in the murder of Timothy Segola, has been remanded in custody by Broadhurst Magistrates Court.
Sibanda was denied bail by Chief Magistrate Gofaone Morweng today, who said the accused application was devoid of merit.
The 50-year-old Sibanda is being accused alongside the deceased's wife Malebogo Segola (45), Alfred Gaseitsewe (42), and Maxwell Chirinda (22) of killing Segola on June 5 around Rahutse lands near Gakuto.
In her bail application, Sibanda claimed she had nothing to do with the murder. She said Malebogo had asked her to plead guilty to the crime and promised her payment, an offer she refused, and was subsequently charged. ENDS
