Gaseitsewe pleads not guilty

Metlhaeno Gaseitsiwe has pleaded not guilty to a charge of undermining the powers of a Kgosi, where he is accused of stating that Kgosi Malope II has no royal blood, neither does he possess the intellect to be called a leader, as well as referring to him as a commoner without any lawful excuse on February 13, 2024.
Appearing before Senior Magistrate Keneilwe Kgoadi of Kanye Magistrate Court today, the accused person was represented by Ms Palesa Moletsane of Moletsane and Company while Mr Kamogelo Maleke of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) appeared for the state.
The prosecution told the court that investigations into the matter were complete and the accused person had been served with all the relevant documents.
The case is scheduled for a case management conference on October 8 to set trial dates. ENDS
