Gaborone High Court Judge, Justice Omphemetse Motumise will tomorrow deliver reasons behind dismissing an application by Goitsekgosi Mojadigo, who requested court to merge four rape and defilement charges he was facing. 

Justice Motumise yesterday ordered that Divine Anointing Church International pastor and founder Mojadigo stand trial on the current charges. Mojadigo, through his attorney, Mr Olehile Manchwe had approached the High Court challenging the multiple charges he was facing, arguing that they amounted to duplication.

Therefore, Mojadigo’s trial is expected to commence at Mochudi Magistrate Court on August 12. The 33-year-old Mojadigo is facing defilement and rape charges, offences alleged to have taken place in Francistown and Morwa in 2024. Mojadigo is currently remanded in custody after his bail was revoked last year October following reports that he had violated bail conditions by contacting one of the witnesses.
