Court remands accused girlfriend murder in custody

A 27-year-old Molepolole man, Tebatso Keolatlhe who is accused of killing his girlfriend who was allegedly pregnant, was this morning remanded in custody by the Molepolole Magistrates Court.
Keolatlhe of Ratotoboro ward is accused of killing his 21-year-old girlfriend Keamogetse Kgosietsile of Ntloelongwae ward around July 25- 27, 2025, near Semarule lands in the Kweneng District. The murder charge came after the exhumation of Kgosietsile’s body on Sunday with the help of the accused.
During the proceedings, the prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent Future Modisadife asked court to remand the accused in custody arguing that investigations were still in early stages.
“The lead investigator in this matter is still assisting with the postmortem,” Assistant Superintendent Modisadife told the court.
Chief Magistrate, Mr Gaseitsewe Tonoki granted the request and ordered that Keolatlhe be remanded in custody pending further investigations. The accused is scheduled to appear in court again on August 14, 2025. ENDS
