Senior Magistrate, Atlanang Manchwe of Letlhakane Magistrate Court on Monday, remanded in custody Taolo Moyo (40) in connection with the death of Luke Gabatlhalefe (31) who passed away on Monday.

Particulars of the matter are that in the wee hours of Sunday, after indulging at one of the drinking outlets at Phase I in Letlhakane, the accused and the deceased had a misunderstanding which resulted in a fight.

According to Letlhakane New Police station commander, Superintendent Unoziba Rari, the deceased hit the accused with a spade on the head and hands, where upon retaliation, the accused went for the neck using a broken bottle of 750ml of Black Label.

The deceased was taken to Letlhakane primary hospital, where he was referred to Nyangwgwe hospital in Francistown.

Superintendent Rari said they later received a report that Luke Gabatlhalefe had succumbed to the injuries.

Taolo Moyo will appear in court again on June 26. ENDS
