Four accused persons in a case involving a Letlhakane woman who was swindled money amounting to P845 000 between April 20 and May 9,  appeared in court yesterday.

The accused are two males, Dimpho Lebakeng (41) of Tonota, Thatayaone Lucian (48) of Mahalapye, and two females Tuelo Seduke (32) of Mahalapye and Phethani Moyo (38) of Zimbabwean origin, while the fifth suspect is still at large. They were arrested in Maun on May 23, and four vehicles and furniture suspected to have been purchased with the swindled money were repossessed. Investigating officer in the matter, detective assistant superintendent Mfanyana Albert said investigations were still at an infant stage, hence requested that the accused persons be remanded in custody. They will appear in court again in June 9.

Meanwhile, Letlhakane police have arrested a 33 year old man of Nkosho ward in connection with murder of a 35 year old man of Tawana ward which occurred at Mpha Mpha Bar on Saturday night. The suspect also appeared in court today. ENDS
