Man accused of raping teenage daughter

Police in Kasane are investigating a case in which a 60-year-old man is alleged to have raped his 15-year-old daughter in Parakarungu.
Officer Commanding Number 7 District, Senior Superintendent Meshack Pulenyane said the incident happened in Chituza-matako ward on Tuesday morning. He said both the perpetrator and the victim were home while the mother was on duty at Ipelegeng programme.
Snr Supt Pulenyane said the girl, who is a student at Liswaani Community Junior Secondary School in Kachikau, reported the matter to her mother who then alerted the police. He said the accused was arrested by police same day and appeared before the Kasane Magistrates Court yesterday, where he was ordered to remain in custody as preliminary investigations continued. ENDS
