Court denies murder accused bail pending inquiry

Agang Kaore Kgopiso of Mathwana ward in Mmashoro yesterday appeared before the Serowe Magistrate, Ms One Makhiba for a single count of murder.
Kgoposi, who is 19, is said to have on May 18 this year, at Itsokwane cattle-post near Malatswae caused the death of Ms Boitumelo Gaketoswe aged 13, who was suspected to be his girlfriend contrary to section 202 and 203 of the Penal Code.
The court denied him bail, indicating that investigations were still on-going while the deceased was at Princess Marina Hospital awaiting postmortem.
The accused informed the court that he would engage an attorney for his case. Kaore will mention again on June 19 at the Serowe Magistrate Court.
In another murder case, Barulaganye Kebapisitswe, nicknamed Raico aged 40, also appeared before the same magistrate for causing the death of Gosegomang Sepape by hitting her with a blunt object on the head at Madisenyane cattle post. The deceased is waiting for postmortem while investigations continues.
The accused was granted bail on conditions that he reports to Thabala police post fortnightly. He will appear in court on August 21.
Meanwhile, Gosetsemang Baidi appeared before court in a threat to kill case. The accused allegedly used harsh words threatening his sister Olebeng Baidi, on May 19 at Malatswae. He was remanded in custody pending investigations. ENDS
