Mesh-B returns with Golekane
05 Feb 2014
He took a long leave from the music industry. But now Meshack Basima aka Mesh-B is back with a bang.
He has just released his second gospel album dubbed Golekane. His debut in the gospel music industry was in 2004 when he released Ipotse.
After 10 years of absence, Mesh-B comes back as a refined and mature musician. He believes that his leave from showbiz gave him time to appreciate God more.
He believes that God is able to rescue young people from social ills and give them a better future. Consequently, Golekanye album has most songs dedicated to youth. It advises them how they can overcome life challenges.
Songs such as Mocha, Ke a gana and Masetlapelo are rich with messages directed to young people.
Mesh-B also catered for worship lovers in track two, You are mighty, which featured Jessica. For those who enjoy dancing, Ke a gana, would be the song for you.
As they say, once beaten, twice shy, Mesh B recorded the second album locally to avoid the first album experience where he was cheated.
Even up to date he still has to get the master copy of the first album. The 12-track Golekanye was recorded at Touch Records and Thabo Kgaswane produced the album. Mesh-B plans to launch the album in April. ends
