The Ministry of Lands and Housing will host its fifth geo-information conference from February 5.

The conference will be held at the Tlotlo Conference Centre in Mogoditshane. A press release from the ministry stated that the theme of the conference will be: Geo-information, Empowering the Economy into the Future. The Minister of Lands and Housing, Mr Lebonaamang Mokalake will officially open the conference.

The release said the objective of the conference “is to bring in experts, vendors and users of geo-information technology.” The conference would also give an update on new technologies and share information and ideas on how to improve on geo-information services.

Guests from the Southern African region as well as Europe are expected to attend the conference. It would also allow geo-information users to share ideas and find solutions on the challenges that they come across. ENDS
