Chiepe Beacon Of Light

Various speakers have described Dr Gaositwe Chiepe as a beacon of light, a true example of service, humility and dedication.
A memorial service was held at Trinity Church in Gaborone today in honour of Dr Chiepe who died on Sunday.
Among the mourners was Vice President, Mr Ndaba Gaolathe.
Minister for State President, Mr Moeti Mohwasa described the deceased as a true patriot and a woman of many firsts as she was the first woman cabinet minister in 1974.
A family representative,Ms Gaolapelwe Bagwasi indicated that Dr Chiepe's presence enriched their lives and her memory would forever be enriched in their lives.
Kgosi Mosadi Seboko, speaking on behalf of friends, said it was befitting to celebrate Dr Chiepe's life because of her immense contribution toward building Botswana over the years.
Dr Chiepe's life, she said reflected the spirit of encouragement, patience and unwavering faith.
Dr Chiepe will be buried on Saturday.ENDS
