It's back to school

Standard One pupils at Tshwaragano Primary School waiting to be allocated classes during the beginning of the school term in Gaborone yesterday. Tshwaragano Primary School head, Ms Spankie Kelopang said the school has a total of 150 students of five classrooms for standard one. The first day of primary often times brings a mixed emotions of excitement and fear but pupils at Tshwaragano Primary School seemed to be calm. However, some government schools had to delay re-opening following widespread rainfall, which led to some schools being flooded. The minister of Child Welfare and Basic Education Dr Nono Kgafela-Mokoka in a press statement called for caution and regular feedback on the state of affairs until the situation normalises.
