Arson case set for April

Francistown Principal Magistrate Thebeetsile Mulalu has set April 2-4 as trial dates for the Sebina cross lands arsonist case.
The 34-year-old, Mgcini Ncube of Zimbabwean origin is facing charges of arson of two houses in Sebina cross lands area around August 9, last year.
In his brief appearance in court on January 28, the state counsel, Mr Thapelo Mafishane said they intended to call 11 witnesses, while statements were yet to be recorded from two of them.
Mr Mafishane told the court that the accused had been served with statements from nine witnesses and an affidavit. He said by the end of this week, the prosecution would serve the accused with the two remaining statements.
Magistrate Mulalu set another mention date for February 11. ENDS
