Zimbabwe president also the current SADC chairperson Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa and President Advocate Duma Boko are scheduled to visit the SADC secretariat headquarters in Gaborone today.

President Mnangagwa took over the SADC chairmanship on August 17 during the 44th SADC Summit of Heads of State and Government that was held in Harare, Zimbabwe.

According to the release, the SADC secretariat headquarters building has been governed through a Public Private Partnership Agreement involving SADC, Bongwe Investments and the Botswana government as a guarantor to the PPP arrangement.

“The SADC chairperson and President Boko will also perform a ground-breaking ceremony for the commencement of the construction of the SADC Standby Force Regional Logistics Depot at Rasesa in the Kgatleng District, 40km from Gaborone,” the release states.
