Two men appeared before Serowe Magistrate Court on a single count of armed robbery on December 9. 

The accused persons, Tumelo Rakgagana (43) of Bokane ward in Molepolole and Michael Mogome (45) of Legonono ward also in Molepolole appeared before Senior Magistrate, Ms One Machiba.

Particulars of the offence are that the two accused persons and the other two who were not before court, on November 29, 2024 near Mere ward in Serowe, acted jointly together with the intent to execute a common purpose and robbed Cold Room Wholesalers a cash amounting to P80 630.

The accused persons threatened to use violence and pointed a gun to the Cold Room employees on duty on the day of the incident.

During the court session they pleaded for bail, saying they did not have time to collect their toiletry and clothes at the time of arrest.  

However, Senior Magistrate remanded them in custody while investigations continue.

They will appear in court on January 9. Ends
