Court grants Chinese nationals bail

Two Chinese nationals, who were arrested at a roadblock in Tati Siding on October 20 in possession of an unaccounted over P7 million, have been granted conditional bail.
Principal Magistrate Ditebogo Ntuli of Francistown Magistrate Court ordered that the two, Cheng Zheng (40) and Jinlong Mai (33) pay P10 000 each, provide two sureties, each binding himself with P5 000 each, surrender their passports to the state and provide addresses of their place of abode.
She also ordered them to report once in a month to the police and appear before court when ordered to do so.Their next date of mention is December 5.
They are represented by Mr Malike Mmohe and Mr Kesegofetse Molosiwa whilst Mr Gasemotho Pitlagano represented the state.
The money is currently in custody of the Financial Intelligence Agency. Ends
