Serowe police are investigating a suspected suicide incident involving a 49-year-old man.

Serowe Station Commander, Superintendent Poloko Oteng said they found the deceased hanging from the rafters of his house.

He said the deceased was certified dead at Sekgoma Memorial Hospital, and that investigations were ongoing to find out what could have led to the incident. 

Superintendent Oteng said the deceased was staying with his girlfriend and their child in a rented house, adding that he did not leave any message. 

He advised Batswana to consider other methods of handling challenges such as reporting to the police, social workers, parents or relatives.

Supt. Oteng said they were also investigating a matter in which a decomposed body was found at Modisatota Ranch near Khama Rhino Sanctuary in Paje. He said they were still to identify the deceased. ENDS
