Police in Serowe are investigating an incident in which a 25-year-old Malatswai man is suspected to have murdered two children aged three years at Redwood Ranch near Khwae on the afternoon of September 30.

In an interview with BOPA, the Botswana Police Service’s Public Relation Officer, Assistant Commissioner Dipheko Motube, said the incident was reported  on the afternoon of the same day upon which the police rushed to the place where they found the victims with serious injuries.

 He noted that the victims were rushed to Sekgoma Memorial Hospital where they were certified dead.

 According to the police spokesperson, the children were playing in a kraal at that ranch when they were attacked.

He said the police are still investigating what could have led to the incident.

The suspect, who was arrested on the same day, is in police custody. Ends
