Molepolole police are investigating two cases of murder.
In an interview on Monday, Molepolole Station Commander, Superintendent Jacob Molapong said the first incident occurred on September 26 around 3pm at Magokotswane Ward in Molepolole, where a 60-year-old man had a misunderstanding with his partner, upon their disagreement, he stabbed the woman with a sharp object.
He said the 54-year-old woman was taken to Scottish Livingstone Hospital, where she was certified dead upon arrival.
He said the suspect was arrested on the same day and was currently remanded in police custody.
In another incident, Superintendent Molapong said a 43-year-old man of Maribana Ward was found in a pool of blood outside a certain bar in the wee hours of September 28.
The man is alleged to have been with his relatives having a great time before he met his demise.
He said the suspect was found in a pool of blood and had a large wound on the chest adding that it was suspected that the deceased had been stabbed with a sharp object.
Upon arrival at the Scottish Livingstone Hospital, he said the victim was certified dead and to date, no arrest had been made and the suspect was still at large.
Therefore, he had appealed to the public to help them with any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect. Ends
