Promised Land of Christian Church Association unites denominations

The Promised Land of Christian Church Association (PLOCCA), an association that brings all church denominations together has been launched.
Speaking during the launch combined with the prayer for 2024 National Elections on Monday in Gaborone, the president of the association Rev Gaselarona Sikwa said their aim was to bring all the religious organisations to work together to promote peace and tranquility.
He said so far they had 40 member churches.
He said their other objective was to pray for the social ills in the country as well as promote good moral behaviour in the society.
In regards to the 2024 national elections prayers, Rev Sikwa said: “It is important to seek guidance and grace for the upcoming elections.”
He called for blessings upon the election process and for things to unfold with fairness and respect for all involved.
Rev Sikwa also prayed for wisdom on the leaders, officials and voters so that the decision would be made with integrity and transparency.
He called for the spirit of unity and understanding among all citizens, that their differences may be discussed with civility and that any disagreement be resolved peacefully.
The PLOCCA members had gathered, with different pastors offering prayer for the upcoming national elections to be held on October 30. ENDS
