A Matobo man, Unangoni Salathi who is alleged to have killed his two children in Monarch location on July 6 will be arraigned before the Francistown magistrate court tomorrow.

Francistown police station, Superintendent Mogomotsi Kesupile said the suspect was arrested at Makuta by the residents who had suspected that he was a criminal.

He explained that after his arrest at around 1:00 am, the residents handed him to the local police officer for remand at the local cell.

He said Makuta police handed the suspect to Tutume police this morning.

He said the suspect was looking for accommodation in some of the homesteads when he was apprehended.

He said he was in good condition at the time of his arrest, though he looked tired.

Assistant Superintendent Kesupile said the man will be charged with murder.

He thanked the residents for having acted swiftly to arrest the suspect who was dangerous to the community and handed him to the local police officer.

The suspect had been on the run since July 6.
