The youthful, energetic and talented kwasa kwasa band that goes by the name, Albetto and Yaah Mussicca band has released their fourth album.
The six track album was recorded in Gabane by KK (Kusere Kumbile) Music and was produced by Sixteen Vincent.
The lead vocalist, Alberto Olebile said the album was a fusion of both local languages so as to cater for all their fans to make them understand and appreciate kwasa kwasa as a music genre in their native languages.
He said the album, which started to be distributed on December 6 was received excellent reception as more than 500 copies had already been sold. He said all the songs in the album were motivational and based on real events.
“The title track, Tsa lefatshe was motivated by the bitter sweet moments that life throws at us and the intention is to inspire and teach one a lesson” he said. He said the band will soon hold festivals country wide, where their fans will get an opportunity to buy the album.
The promotional festivals are also a way of informing their fans that they are back after taking a break, hence the hit song, Alberto o gorogile. The lead vocalist said their new album is different from the previous albums that they have release as the new album has more sukusa dance than the well-known ndombolo dance both of which originate from Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
He appreciated the support of the department of youth and other organizations in the success of the band as they continue to get engaged in music festivals and charitable events in collaboration with such organisations. ENDS
