Mochudi police are investigating two rape cases and house breakings that occured over the holidays.

In an interview, Supt Lorato Dikgang of Mochudi Police Station said a 21-year-old woman of Mochudi was raped by a man she met along the road on the first day of the year.

Supt Dikgang said in another incident, a 22-year-old woman of Morwa was raped during an outing. In both incidences, the culprits were still at large and investigations ongoing. Supt Dikgang said they also recorded two cases of house breaking at Bokaa and Rasesa where properties amounting to over P10 000 were stolen.

She said in both incidents, the owners of the houses had gone for the holidays and were only alerted by neighbours. No one had been apprehended in both cases.

Supt Dikgang said besides the mentioned cases, Kgatleng District had peaceful holidays and implored Batswana to continue to behave well. ENDS
