Police in Ramotswa are investigating a suspected murder-suicide case.

Ramotswa Police Station Commander Superintendent Keoagile Tau,said in an interview that the suspect aged 35, allegedly murdered his 42-year-old girlfriend on Monday evening.

He said the matter was reported to the police by the man’s niece and upon arrival at the deceased woman’s house in Tsokung Ward the police discovered the lifeless bodies of the couple.

Spt Tau said investigations into the matter were still fresh and the police were awaiting postmortem to ascertain what could have led to her death.

The man was from Kanye while his girlfriend was from Ramotswa.

The incident follows another grisly murder of 23-year-old Charity Shuma of Etsha 6 last week.

Shuma, a student teacher at Lesetlhana Primary School was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend, 26-year-old Twatungere Dishero, who is in police custody while investigations continue. ENDS
