Murder accused, Boitshepo France, of Matshelagabedi has been advised to seek bail at the High Court.

France stands accused of brutally murdering a former Boikhutso clinic nurse, Andrew Moleele of Matshelagabedi between April 26 and May 20, this year and burying him in a pit in the deceased’s backyard.

Francistown Principal Magistrate, Mr Tshepo Magetsi, informed France when he appeared for mention yesterday that he had already rendered his verdict of denying him bail during the previous mention.

When denying France bail during the last mention, Magistrate Magetsi, cited among others, public’s concern over individuals committing crimes while out on bail.

France, who was arrested in Kasane on May 28, had applied  for bail, citing that his children wanted him to return home.

“Please give me bail. My children need me at home,”he had pleaded.

The prosecutor, Mr Gasemotho Pitlaganyo, informed the court that investigations into the matter were almost complete.

He said the investigating team was still awaiting two items that were sent to the forensic lab for examination, and once they received the reports of the two items, the case could be committed to the High Court for trial.

France will appear for another mention on September 5 when the prosecution will update the court on progress regarding the report of the two items.
He remains in custody until then. Ends
