One of Botswana’s most talented rappers, Euri formerly known as Eureka, dropped his third studio album on January 1, 2014.

His album entitled From Francistown with Love would surely change the hip hop arena. The album contained the hit song Mosadi featuring the award winning Lizibo. The song, which is the first single from the album, has already made its mark and Batswana know what to expect from the celebrated musician.

Euri, who by now has established his fan base across the country, gave fans something to smile about during the festive season. The 10 track album begins with Hello, a song that welcomes listeners to the tour of the masterpiece. He features South Africa’s hip hop giant HHP in the third song Nnenyane.

The song has been receiving airplay and it is the follow up song after mosadi. HHP’s motswako contribution ties the song together and proof that hip hop’s sub-genre is alive and kicking.

The rapper who recently got married to his high school sweetheart appreciates his country in the song 1966. It is a patriotic track which features the soulful voice from Tshepo Lesole. The song celebrates the year that Botswana gained independence and in the song Euri says he is glad to be living the dream of three chiefs who went all the way to Britain to ask for protection. 

Lesole who also produced the song, brings in an element of creativity and artistry. Other songs to lookout for include Travelling Bag, Pula, Holiday, Bammangwato, Anniversary and Music is Life.  The production is dope, with intricately arranged keys and cords, lots of soul inspired backup vocals, and profound, deep-toned lines.

The art piece includes collaborations from local artists such as Scar, Lee, DJ Khenzo, Zuziwe, Brando and Sethunya.

This third offering is proof that Euri has grown from the time he dropped his first album.   The album also celebrates his place of birth, Francistown. Fans of Euri’s previous albums are bound to find much to like in From Francistown with love. The inclusion of Lizibo and Tsepo Lesole in the album reconnects hip-hop with a soulful world-shattering legacy. Euri’s approach is unique and a good path to follow.

This album will push him into the forefront as one of the top artists in the game. ENDS
