Botswana and Uganda share notes

Minister of Agriculture, Mr Fidelis Molao and Uganda Minister of State for Animal Industry Mr Bright Rwamirama met yesterday in Gaborone. Mr Molao said Botswana was the suitable partner for Uganda particularly in the development of the livestock sector as the country had invested significantly in an animal health system underpinned by zoning, animal traceability and a Veterinary Public Health system that has enabled the country to sustain access to a high value markets including the European Union. The purpose of the official visit is to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of livestock and production.
