Mthimkhulu meets Batswana living in the UK

LONDON - Minister of Environment and Tourism, Mr Dumezweni Mthimkhulu yesterday met with Batswana living in the UK at the Botswana Embassy to, among others, update them on the British Parliament’s Hunting Trophies (Import Prohibition) Bill. He urged them to take up responsibility to tell the British public the truth regarding hunting in Botswana and its impact on rural communities who live in the proximity of wildlife areas. The Bill seeks to ban the importation of trophies of various species covered by CITES into the United Kingdom.
