BEC releases JCE 2023 results

Botswana Examinations Council has released 2023 Junior Certificate Examination results.
A press release from the council states that of the 44 750 candidates who sat the examination, five obtained a Merit and 438 Grade A.
The release states that 43 44 candidates obtained Grade B, 10 563 Grade C, 14 158 Grade D, 5 318 Grade E and 6 875 Ungraded.
The statement also states that 22 288 male candidates took the exam compared to 22 462 females with the latter outperforming the former.
In 2022, eight obtained Merit, 488 Grade A, 4 1 52 Grade B, 10 681 Grade C, 15 234 Grade D, 6 014 Grade E and 7 368 Ungraded, out of a total of 46 835 candidates who sat the exam during that period. Ends
