Voters' registration ends

The national voter registration exercise, which commenced on January 5 this year, concluded on Saturday, February 3, at 4pm. Many Batswana, particularly the youth, flocked to the polling stations in Mogoditshane and Old Naledi in Gaborone on the final day of registration to meet the deadline. Several individuals who arrived after the 4pm deadline expressed disappointment, as they were under the impression that registration would continue until 16pm. Botswana is scheduled to hold its general elections this year, with the specific date yet to be announced.
