Murder accused, Bakang Masole has been remanded in custody and will appear again for mention on January 25.

Bakang is accused of murdering Phenyo Jakoba on or about November 9, 2023, whose decomposed body was later found with missing parts.

The prosecutor, Sub-Inspector Maureen Segokgo pleaded before Molepolole’s Magistrate Gaseitsewe Tonoki that the accused person be remanded in custody, saying although the post-mortem report had been received, they were waiting for forensic results, adding that the the accused’s and the victim’s clothing items had been taken to the forensic laboratory.

Meanwhile in another matter brought before Magistrate Tonoki, Oankgopola Sebela, who is accused of murdering Major Tumisang ‘Sniper’ Sefularo in December last year, will appear before court for mention on May 20. He has been granted bail by the High Court and the prosecutor in the case told the court that they were awaiting post-mortem report. Ends
