Former Miss Botswana and 2010 Miss World first princess, Emma Wareus has urged the youth to register to vote during the current registration period.

Posting on her social media platform, Wareus implored the youth to register in numbers and to exercise their right, adding that they would have a voice in decision making by registering for elections. 

“It is your right as a citizen to vote, and the way you do that is by registering,” she said.

She further said they needed to participate in electing their leaders if they wanted impactful changes being implemented. She said the youth were always complaining about decisions made and that the only way to change that was by voting. She pleaded with them to make their way to registration stations.

Registration for the general elections started on January 5 and will end on February 3. Ends
