Batswana encouraged to register in large numbers

Botswana Democratic Party has been praised for having stood the test of time by upholding peace in the country through free and fair elections since Independence.
Therefore, the Vice President, Mr Slumber Tsogwane encouraged Batswana to register in large numbers starting today and vote for the BDP in the upcoming general elections, so that the party retains power.
He was speaking in Rakops January 4 at an event to sensitise Batswana about voter registration, where he also advised people to safely keep their registration cards until election day.
Mr Tsogwane said the country, since independence, had gradually achieved a lot in terms of developments because of the visionary leadership of the BDP.
He highlighted that developments were determined by availability of funds, hence it took a visionary leader to work wisely with the little that the country had, at the same time having the interests of citizens at heart. Ends
