Public to register grievances before January 30

13 Dec 2023

The public affected by the construction works during the road improvements in Greater Gaborone from 2019 has been advised to register their grievances with the Ministry of Transport and Public Works on or before January 30 next year.

A press release from the transport and public works ministry says the road improvement projects entailed expansion of intersections, modernisation of traffic signals and construction of interchanges along the Western Bypass Road (KT Motsete Drive).

These improvements, it says, will ordinarily have affected persons, properties and businesses close to the construction area.

“Since the project works are coming to an end in March 2024, members of the public who are affected should register their grievances and claims on time to afford the ministry ample time to investigate and conclude accordingly,” says the release.

It further states that new grievances or claims will not be accepted after January 30 and the public is advised to contact the ministry for further clarifications.ENDS
