 Court has remanded in custody two men accused of murder.

The two accused appeared before Molepolole Magistrate Court on Tuesday and will both appear for mention on January 11 next year.

One of the accused, 30-year-old Oankgopola Sebela is suspected to have murdered a Botswana Defence Force (BDF) officer, Tumisang Sehularo at or near Lekgwapheng Ward in Molepolole between 3am and 4am on December 10.

In another case, 31-year-old Oratile Rogang appeared for the alleged murder of Innocent Dube, an incident reported to have occurred on or about December 9 at or near Kgosing Ward in Medie.

Sub-Inspector Maureen Segokgo of Botswana Police Service told the court that the deceased’s bodies were still at mortuaries awaiting post-mortem and forensic tests.

She also told court that investigations were still at initial stages and statements were still to be taken from possible witnesses.

She added that investigating officers would be present during the next appearance to give updates on the two cases. ends
