Official encourages employees to excel
13 Dec 2023
A mindset change coach at Office of the District Commissioner, Mr Christopher Moseki has said the Mindset Change Campaign was not to suggest that public servants have been doing things wrongly, but was meant to encourage them to do better and double the efforts to increase levels of productivity.
Speaking during a performance recognition and excellence awards ceremony recently, Mr Moseki said pillars of mindset change were derived from aspirations of Vision 2036 and urged all to align themselves with them in order improve their lives and the economy of the country.
He encouraged people to stop criticising the government initiatives and programmes which were meant to improve the livelihoods of Batswana. He warned against the tendency by some people who are always quick to say the financial programmes were for the chosen few, certain people, and family members of some people or granted on friendship.
“Fight the negative energy,” he said, pointing out that many people had risen from very difficult circumstances to achieve prominence and success through hard work. District Commissioner-North East District Mr Gobe Macha said the objective of the day was to appreciate the efforts of deserving officers, as well as encourage and motivate others to excel in the coming year.
